Growing up in a small town watching my parents working in the forest and restaurant industry, I learned at a young age to appreciate hard work. I saw how hard it was for my parents to purchase a home, educate their children and put food on the table for our family. This just strengthened my drive for wanting to help families with their financial goals and helping them achieve their dreams

After high school graduation, I attended BCIT and completed the Financial Management Program. This program strengthened my knowledge and skills and lead me to the banking industry. Upon graduation I started working at 1 of the big 5 banks where I was able to help my clients realize their financial goals through budgeting, lending, cash flow planning, and saving for the future. After 5 years with the bank, I decided to move to a Credit Union because their values aligned with my personal and career goals. With the Credit Union, I further developed my skills and had the opportunity to connect and volunteer within the local community

Over my 20-year tenure with the credit union, I lead successful teams with a client focussed approach. I managed branches from Delta to Chilliwack. I pride myself on working and engaging with the local communities through events at Surrey Food Bank, Hospital Galas, Crohn’s and Colitis walk, Drishti and Darpan awards, Surrey Board of Trade and Yarrow and Delta parades. This allowed me to gain a strong appreciation for the entire lower-mainland housing market and lead to loyal long-lasting relationships with clients

During my time at the Credit Union, I started a family and had dreams about becoming a homeowner. I knew this was the single most important asset that a person can own in their lifetime. As a working mother, wife and mortgage professional,  I understand and appreciate the value of time with family. Therefore, my focus with clients is to take away their worries, do all the heavy lifting, and help guide them into their new home
